Peru is home to some of the best coffees in the world. The introduction of Fair Trade and Organics into the communities of this country has resulted in many poster stories for these programs. Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera La Florida is an established cooperative that was founded in 1966 and now has about 1,200 members. Situated in the Chanchamayo region, their efforts have brought much needed education, infrastructure, credit and environmental restoration to this remote corner of the Peruvian jungle.
Tasting Notes: The resulting coffee yields a wonderful Peru French Roast that is smooth and smoky, full body, low acidity and exceptionally clean lingering finish.
